Provider: 12 Paws Software, LLC, operating the Homeschool Ace service (“Homeschool Ace,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and 12 Paws Software, LLC. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Homeschool Ace web application and website (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to create an account. Homeschool Ace is designed to be set up and controlled by a parent, guardian, or other adult responsible for a homeschool, who enters and manages information about their own students. If you use the Service on behalf of a household, you represent that you have the authority to do so and to accept these Terms for it.
Homeschool Ace is a gradebook and record-keeping tool for homeschooling families. We provide it on an ongoing basis and continue to improve it, which means features may be added, changed, or removed over time. We may also perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts availability.
Homeschool Ace helps you keep your own records. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for meeting any homeschooling, reporting, or record-keeping requirements that apply to you. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws that govern your homeschool.
You’re responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Please give us accurate information and keep it up to date. Tell us promptly athelp@homeschoolace.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Homeschool Ace is offered on a subscription basis. Current plans and prices are shown on ourPricing page. Some accounts may be free during a promotional or founding-member period; paid subscriptions begin on or after October 1, 2026, or when you choose to purchase a plan. We’ll always tell you the price and billing frequency before you subscribe.
When using Homeschool Ace, you agree not to:
The records you enter, your students’ names, grades, assignments, courses, attendance, notes, and similar information, are yours. You grant us the limited license needed to host, process, back up, and display that information so we can provide the Service to you. We don’t sell it, and we don’t use your students’ records to build advertising profiles. Our handling of your information is governed by ourPrivacy Policy.
You’re responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for having the right to enter information about members of your household. As with any online tool, we recommend you keep your own independent backup or export of anything important, which you can do at any time from within the app.
We love feedback. If you send us comments, suggestions, bug reports, or feature ideas (“Feedback”), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate that Feedback into Homeschool Ace and our other products, without any obligation or compensation to you. Please don’t send us Feedback that you’re not free to share or that includes someone else’s confidential information.
Homeschool Ace, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to 12 Paws Software, LLC and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own homeschool record-keeping while these Terms are in effect. We reserve all rights we don’t expressly grant.
From time to time we may ask if we can share your comments about Homeschool Ace. We will only use your name or a quote from you in our marketing with your permission, which you can give or decline when we ask.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any data will be preserved. You are responsible for keeping your own records.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Homeschool Ace and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $100.00.
These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service. You may stop using Homeschool Ace and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where practical.
Before your account is deleted, you can export your records from within the app. After termination we handle and delete your data as described in ourPrivacy Policy. Sections 6 through 8 and 10 through 14 survive termination.
We may update these Terms as the Service develops. If we make a material change, we’ll post the updated version here and, where practical, let you know, and we may ask you to review and accept the updated Terms before you continue using the Service. Continuing to use Homeschool Ace after an update means you accept it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Denton County, Texas, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
