A real need came first.
Homeschooling asked our family to hold a lot at once: shared lessons, individual assignments, appointments, household responsibilities, grades, attendance, and the records that matter later.
The available tools handled pieces of that work. We needed the pieces to understand one another. A change to the plan should still reach the student. Work completed today should become the record we need tomorrow. Family life should not disappear because the school calendar is open.
HomeschoolAce began with Elizabeth’s system and the problem she understood firsthand. She brought years as a classroom teacher, a career in accounting, the lived work of homeschooling our sons, and experience helping hundreds of families build intentional, workable rhythms. She shaped what the product needed to be. Benjamen brought decades of software and cloud engineering to make it real. We started HomeschoolAce for our own use.
When it began giving our family a clearer day and our children a clearer role in it, we thought other families could benefit too. That is still the standard: useful in a real home, flexible enough for a family’s choices, and trustworthy with their records.
